Custom Orthotic Inserts

  • We receive a negative impression.
  • The impression is then toe capped to accommodate for length of orthotic.

  • Plaster is then mixed and poured into the negative impression of the foot/feet. (mold)
  • The mold is then rough sanded and wet sanded.
  • An appropriate size of material is cut from a sheet of material. We use dual-laminate or tri-laminate material, Made up of EVA and/or plastazote. This material is sadmerc coded as 101-1.
  • The second material that we use is Eva Bottom for heavier set people. This product is also 35 shore A durometer. The top layers of this product are the same just a different bottom. This product is also sadmerc coded as 101-2.

  • The material is then heated at 400 degrees until pliable.
  • The heated material is then placed to the positive mold and vacuum formed to the patients foot/feet.
  • After vacuum pressing, a grinder and/or sander is then used to complete the final product.
